The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has opened competitive partnership talks toward achieving the One Humanitarian One Poverty Reduction System (OHOPRS), as Minister Dr. Bernard M. Doro received a delegation from Interra Network on 3 June 2026.
The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has taken a significant step toward the realization of a unified national humanitarian and social protection framework, as the Honorable Minister, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, received a high-level delegation from Interra Network Limited an organization committed to advancing digital inclusion through a unified approach.
The visit centered on Interra Network’s intention to partner with the Ministry in the implementation of the One Humanitarian One Poverty Reduction System (OHOPRS), a landmark initiative designed to transform how Nigeria coordinates and delivers humanitarian relief, social protection, and long-term development programs.
While welcoming the delegation and commending their approach, the Honourable Minister was unequivocal in setting the standard for engagement. He emphasised that the partnership process would be strictly competitive, and that only organisations demonstrating the highest level of capacity, innovation, and alignment with the Ministry’s mandate would be considered for selection.
The OHOPRS represents a bold and ambitious vision, a unified national architecture that integrates humanitarian relief, social protection, and long-term development into a single, coordinated framework. Built on the foundational principle of “One System, One Register, One Pathway,” the initiative seeks to eliminate duplication, close gaps in service delivery, and ensure that no vulnerable Nigerian is left behind.
The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to transparency, excellence, and accountability in all partnership engagements as it drives the implementation of this transformative agenda.
