ACCEPTANCE SPEECH President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR APC Presidential Flagbearer — 2027 Election | May 24, 2026 Today, we mark another proud moment in Nigeria’s democratic journey — a reaffirmation of our collective resolve to build a stable, prosperous, and just nation. Four years ago, I stood before you as an aspirant. With your support, I became our party’s candidate and, subsequently, President of the Federal Republic. Today, I return humbled by your trust and renewed in purpose. I accept, with humility and gratitude, the APC’s nomination to stand again as its Presidential candidate in 2027. What We Have Done We removed wasteful fuel subsidies, stabilised the exchange rate, and strengthened our fiscal foundations. The naira is recovering, reserves are rising, and investor confidence is returning. We disbursed over ₦282 billion through the Education Loan Fund, reaching 1.5 million beneficiaries. We supplied 2.5 million meters, pushed power generation to 6,000MW, and are attracting fresh billions into oil, gas, roads, ports, and airports. What Remains Many Nigerians still feel the weight of rising costs. We govern in reality — with honesty and action. Security challenges persist, and I remain unwavering in protecting every Nigerian life. I urge the National Assembly to urgently enable State Police. The Road Ahead The work is unfinished. With four more years, we will place Nigeria on an irreversible path of growth, industrialisation, energy security, and democratic consolidation — a Nigeria where every citizen, regardless of background, can dream big and succeed. To those who differ with us, we extend a hand of partnership. Let this election be a reaffirmation of Nigeria’s democratic maturity, not a retreat from progress. With faith in God and confidence in our people, I accept this honour with renewed resolve. May God bless the APC. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
