Nigeria is set to host the 2026 International Civil Service Conference in Abuja, bringing together public service leaders, governance experts and development partners from across the world to discuss reforms, resilience and improved service delivery in the public sector.
The Federal Government is set to host the 2026 International Civil Service Conference (ICSC) in Abuja, with a strong focus on strengthening reforms, resilience and results-driven governance in the public sector.
The conference, organised by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21, 2026, under the theme: “Reforms, Resilience and Results.”
According to a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Eno Olotu, the conference will bring together public service leaders, governance experts, development partners and reform practitioners from across the world to discuss strategies for modernising civil service systems and improving service delivery.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to formally declare the conference open, highlighting the Federal Government’s commitment to civil service transformation and institutional excellence.
The event is expected to attract delegates from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Switzerland, Ghana, The Gambia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Algeria, Sudan and Indonesia.
The conference will feature plenary sessions, technical roundtables, exhibitions and interactive engagements focusing on institutional reforms, digital transformation, innovation, leadership, accountability and workforce development.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, described the conference as a timely platform for advancing an innovative, accountable and citizen-centred public service.
The statement added that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, appreciated sponsors and development partners for their support towards the hosting of the conference.
