NAFDAC recorded 474 new cases, 821 seizure entries and 52 arrests nationwide between January and August 2026, as the agency intensified enforcement against substandard, falsified and unsafe products.
NAFDAC has uncovered more than 20 illegal stores allegedly involved in counterfeiting alcoholic drinks and revalidating expired beverages at Zamfara Plaza, Lagos Trade Fair Complex. Two suspects were arrested, while seized products were valued at over ₦2 billion.
